What is DARK MATTER?

 Hello readers I am Nandakishore. From today I will be sharing some information's regarding a few topics to understand my research. It will be similar to the last post I shared.

What is Universe made up of? Have you ever thought about it? A few decades ago scientists were preforming some complex calculations trying to find the mass of the objects present in the entire MILKY WAY galaxy. To their when the results was obtained, they realized that the gravity created by the mass they just found is almost not possible to maintain and hold the galaxy without the stars being ripped apart from each other. The scientists tried to observe the universe with a telescope but they failed to observe any thing instead they were able to detect gravitational pull in the empty region of space. They named it as dark matter. This a kind of matter that was invisible but had mass( it was like a glass). 

Using the advanced technology modern scientists made an approximations on the composition if universe. To their surprise they found that the ordinary matter ( the matter which is visible) composed only around 5%, the dark matter contributed 27% of mass and remaining 68% were made of dark energy in the Universe. However these dark matter and dark energy has not yet been understood completely by Humans.  We will be discussing on available informations on dark matter on this post. The dark energy will be discussed in the next post. 

The dark matter is type of matter that neither produce nor interact with light or any kind of electromagnetic radiation due which it is invisible to us. This matter is believed to hold and maintain the galaxy in the universe. There is no much information that we have on the topic Dark Matter. We will be going in detail about this in the upcoming posts.
